AI for Good Impact Initiative: AI Skills Coalition

Established in 2017 by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with over 50 UN agencies and the Swiss government, AI for Good is a global multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence to advance sustainable development and serve humanity. What began as a landmark summit in Geneva has evolved into a year-round digital community of over 37,000 contributors from 180 countries, fostering collaboration through the AI for Good Neural Network and practical initiatives in sectors such as health, agriculture, and disaster management. Guided by recent UN and ITU resolutions, the platform focuses on building capacity, establishing international standards, and ensuring the development of safe, trustworthy AI. By hosting flagship summits, innovation challenges, and hackathons, AI for Good continues to lead the global effort to bridge the digital divide and ensure that the transformative potential of the "AI generation" benefits everyone.
