Phnom Penh: Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC) and Smart Axiata Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the distinguished presidency of His Excellency Sok Puthyvuth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Project Management Committee on the Establishment and Operation of Nurseries Using Information, Communication and Media Technology and Her Excellency Kim Sethany, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, along with leaders and officials from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Smart Axiata Co., Ltd., Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology, Phnom Penh Teacher Education College, Department of Education, Youth and Sport of Kandal Province, Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC), and the leadership, teachers, and students of Hun Sen Serey Pheap High School, totaling 80 participants.
Today’s signing ceremony marks a new chapter in the cooperation between the two institutions, aimed at contributing to the development and promotion of Cambodia’s education sector through digital technology. This requires a robust internet infrastructure to enable students and teachers to develop and enhance their teaching and learning methods using digital technology.
The two parties agreed on a project to provide Smart Axiata Co., Ltd.’s internet data for the use of EBC’s digital platforms and content, offering flexibility and opportunities for students, teachers, civil servants, and citizens to enhance their learning experiences and satisfaction, thereby improving the quality of education.
In conclusion, Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC) and Smart Axiata Co., Ltd. are committed to further enhancing their cooperation and providing support and encouragement to the technical teams of both institutions to work within the framework of the MoU signed today.
