Phnom Penh: Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC) and Metfone organized a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the high presidency of H.E. Sok Puthyvuth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Project Management Committee on the Establishment and Operation of Education Nurseries Using Information, Communication, and Media Technology, along with Lok Chumteav Kim Sethany, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Deputy Chairman of the Project Management Committee on the Establishment and Operation of Education Nurseries Using Information, Communication, and Media Technology, as well as leaders and officials from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Metfone, and Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC), totaling 30 participants.
Today’s MoU signing ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter of cooperation between the two institutions, aimed at contributing to the development and promotion of Cambodia’s education sector by utilizing digital technology. This initiative urgently requires the Internet to enable students and teachers to advance their skills in teaching and learning through digital platforms.
Both parties agreed on Metfone’s Internet Data Provider project for EBC’s flexible use in training and digital content, providing opportunities for students, teachers, government officials, and citizens to enhance their learning experiences and satisfaction, as well as to strengthen the quality of education.
Finally, Educational Broadcasting Cambodia (EBC) and Metfone are committed to strengthening their cooperation, providing support, and encouraging the technical working groups of both institutions to work within the framework of cooperation as defined in the Memorandum of Understanding.
