Phnom Penh: His Excellency Minister Chea Vandeth stated that the Cambodian Institute of Outreach (EBC) has accelerated digital education and training to contribute to strengthening the quality of education in Cambodia more diverse and comprehensive, providing both teachers and Students across the country. The Minister added that the EBC process responds to priority activities within the framework of the Digital Economy and Society Policy 2021-2035 and the Digital Government Policy 2022-2035 to build a digital environment.
At the same time, HE Minister strongly hopes that this project will benefit schools across the country through a wide range of good educational content for all levels of education. This statement was made on April 11, 2023, on the occasion that HE Chea Vandeth, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, led a delegation of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to visit Education Broadcasting Cambodia with the participation of HE Secretary of State, Undersecretary of State, Director General and Technical Officer of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications at the Cambodian Educational Institution located in Sangkat Boeung Tumpun, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.
On that occasion, HE Minister visited the studio, editing room, sound room and training room at EBC and provided 400,000 Riels to each EBC staff during the upcoming National New Year.
It should also be noted that EBC is a joint project between the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Information, with a grant from the Ministry of Science, Information and Communication Technology (MSIT) of the Republic of Korea and implemented by the Korean Educational Institution.
