Oppressive Leadership

Using power to oppress subordinates and forcing them to follow orders without listening to any reasons does not show that you are a good leader or a superior possessed of the Four Sublime States of Mind (Brahmavihara). On the contrary, you cause your subordinates to lose their sense of ownership and initiative, leading them to work blindly just to avoid mistakes. Good leadership requires empathy, clear guidance, and the openness to accept feedback from those around you.
