Safe care for all babies and children

Remarks by H.E. Professor Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, together with senior Ministry of Health officials and the Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Cambodia, on the occasion of World Patient Safety Day 2025, under the theme: “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child.”
Patient safety is a top priority of the Ministry of Health of Cambodia, and it must also be a priority for all stakeholders at both the national and international levels.
Essential Newborn Care is an excellent example of translating health policies into practical action by ensuring quality care and services for both mothers and newborns at all levels of the health system.
In his message to all healthcare workers, H.E. Professor, the Minister of Health, emphasized a meaningful principle:
“Patient safety must begin from day one!”
